Buyer's guide

Best invoicing software for electricians

If the invoice should live with the job, start with Jobber or Housecall Pro, which name electrical work and publish a price. Use a standalone invoice app only if you do not need a crew schedule.

Field-service tools are listed before phone, fleet, and general apps. Inside a group the order is alphabetical. That is not a score, and nobody paid for a slot. Affiliate disclosure.

How the tools compare

Pros, cons, and the “best for” line come from the directory record. A price appears only when we checked it on the vendor’s site, and those figures are marked as of Oct 2026. Otherwise the cell says see vendor pricing.

Buying advice

Match the invoice to the job file

Electricians in this directory are named by Jobber, Housecall Pro, and Service Fusion. Those products invoice from the job. Square Invoices, Invoice2go, and Zoho Invoice will send a bill, and their listings are for any small business. They will not put tomorrow’s panel upgrade on a tech’s route.

Do not invent a processing rate

Housecall Pro’s pricing note says card processing is listed as low as 2.59% on the page we checked. The other rows do not have a confirmed processing rate in this directory. Read the vendor’s payments page before you compare a monthly seat with the cut on each card.

Missed calls are a different purchase

None of these invoice tools answers the phone. If the shop misses calls on the job, use the AI phone guide. Goodcall and Rosie are the affiliate products there. Workiz is a separate field-service affiliate. Its record does not name electrical work, so it is not in this table.
